How to Purchase Items From Your UpChoose Set
You can purchase items that you want to keep at the end of a rental cycle. Learn more about how and the pricing.
Our model is designed around the idea that clothes and other items are used and reused from one family to the next. This system has a lot of benefits: it helps reduce the cost for more parents to use higher quality organic cotton brands for their kids, all while reducing clutter and enabling less waste through reuse.
However, when it comes to baby clothes, we know how symbolic and emotional some outfits can become. We understand you may get attached to an item and may want to keep it rather than return it with the rest of the set. Here's how you can purchase items from your UpChoose sets.
How many items can I buy?
If you would like to purchase some items from your set, we recommend picking one or two outfits.
Here's why:
Focusing on one or two items allows you to pick the most meaningful one while avoiding extra clutter.
The UpChoose reuse model relies on most items being returned and made available to the next family. This is how we can create preloved sets and offer the best and most affordable service to you and other parents in the community.
How much does it cost?
The pricing depends on how long you have rented a set and what items you keep.
If you have rented a set for at least three months, you can keep up to two items for a flat fee of:
$10 per item for a bodysuit, pants, hat, or toy.
$15 per item for a onepiece, towel, or blanket.
Any additional item kept will be charged based on its retail price.
If you rented this set for less than three months, you can keep up to two items for a flat fee of:
$20 per item for a bodysuit, pant, hat, or toy.
$30 per item for a onepiece, towel, or blanket.
Any additional item kept will be charged based on its retail price
How can I purchase an item?
You can just keep it when returning your previous set, and our team will be able to identify it as purchased when inspecting your returned set.
