How to Earn Credits by Sending Extra Items

 If you have an active subscription, you can earn extra credits by including extra items when you swap your UpChoose set.

You can send extra items to:

• Earn extra credits on items you're not using anymore

• Declutter your house

• Help protect the environment by avoiding waste and enabling reuse

• Make high-quality items available for the next family to use

 Extra items could be any items that you purchased outside UpChoose or received as a gift. To be eligible for credits, items should be:

• An item on our list of essentials, size up to 3T (see the list below)

• 100% certified organic cotton brand (see the list below)

• Very good or good condition, free of tears, major stains, or rips (would you pass them on to your best friend?)

• Clean, freshly washed

Once we receive the extra items, we inspect them and determine an amount of credit to add to your account.

 How credits are calculated

Credits are calculated based on various factors, the most important being:

• Total number of items sent

• Brand

• Condition

• Seasonality

In general, each eligible item would receive credits equivalent to 5-20% of its current retail value, defined as the lowest retail price currently offered for the item when sold in new condition. If an item is sold on sale on the retailer's website, the discounted price would be used as a retail value.

The way we determine if an item gets closer to 5% or 20% of its retail value is based on the total number of items sent and seasonality:

• If your total number of items is below 5, the % will be closer to 5%. If it's closer to 20 and above, it will be closer to 20%

• Items that are in season are more likely to get closer to 20%, items that are not in season are likely to get closer to 5%
